A 200-acre green space on the south bank of the Thames at Battersea, in the London Borough of Wandsworth, opposite Chelsea. Opened in 1858 on marshland reclaimed from the river and former market gardens, the Grade II*-listed park is a spacious riverside setting for open-air events and festivals. Jeremy Loops is Cape Town's loop-pedal folk star — Down South and Gold went multi-platinum at home and made him a fixture on European festival bills.
