It opened on October 23, 1962 as the Baltimore Civic Center, designed by AG Odell Jr. and Associates on the site where the Continental Congress met in 1776. City-owned and managed by the Oak View Group, it's a cornerstone of the Inner Harbor. J. Cole is the Fayetteville, North Carolina rapper and producer behind 2014 Forest Hills Drive, the first rap album in 25 years to go platinum with no features.
