A ballroom-style room just off Union Square, and one of the Manhattan stages a band plays on the way up. It spent a stretch branded as the Fillmore New York, but nobody ever called it that. Ibeyi are French-Cuban twins Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Díaz, whose Yoruba-infused soul on their XL Recordings albums drew fans from Beyoncé to Álvaro Soler.
