Midtown Detroit's arena, opened in 2017 as home of the Red Wings and Pistons — the anchor of the city's District Detroit and its main arena-tour stop. Gorillaz are the virtual band created in 1998 by Blur's Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett — animated members 2-D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel fronting a revolving door of star collaborators.
