A concert venue and restaurant on West Washington Boulevard in Chicago, built around the legacy of Jerry Garcia. It is a collaboration between the Garcia family and the promoter Peter Shapiro's company Dayglo Presents, and takes its cue from a club Garcia had talked of opening himself and planned to call Casa Garcia. The interior, directed by Tristam Steinberg and Jesse Lauter, sets Californian mid-century modern design against a psychedelic streak. Garaj Mahal is a jazz act.
