A 9,525-seat amphitheatre carved between two 300-foot sandstone monoliths outside Denver, opened in 1941 and considered by many artists the greatest venue on earth. U2's Under a Blood Red Sky and the annual Film on the Rocks are part of its legend. Foster the People are a Los Angeles indie-pop band whose 2010 debut single Pumped Up Kicks became one of the decade's defining crossover hits.
