Chicago's lakefront stadium on the Near South Side, opened in 1924 and home of the NFL's Bears since 1971 and MLS's Chicago Fire since 2020. With a football capacity of 62,500, it is the NFL's oldest and second-smallest stadium. A major 2002-03 rebuild modernized the interior but cut seating and led to its 2006 delisting as a National Historic Landmark. It regularly stages large stadium concerts. Foo Fighters are the band Dave Grohl built after Nirvana, whose Everlong, The Pretender and a dozen more turned them into rock's most dependable stadium headliner and multiple Grammy winners.
