Birmingham's arena since 1991, run by the NEC Group and used for about as wide a spread as a building can take — touring bands, comedy, musicals, and a long run of European and world championships in between. Fontaines D.C. are an Irish post-punk band from Dublin, fronted by Grian Chatten, whose literate, brooding songwriting broke through on the Mercury-nominated 2019 debut Dogrel.
