Elvis Presley was booked for its grand opening but died before it opened; Charley Pride played the first concert on 18 November 1977 and Blue Öyster Cult became the first rock band to appear. It has since hosted boxing, college basketball and major touring acts. Five Finger Death Punch are an American heavy-metal band formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2005 by guitarist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer.
