A contemporary open-air amphitheatre in Alpharetta, in Atlanta's northern suburbs, opened in 2008 with a performance by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Formerly the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park (and later simply Verizon Amphitheatre) before Ameris Bank took the naming rights in 2018, it mainly hosts popular-music artists, comedians and themed symphony concerts. Five Finger Death Punch are an American heavy-metal band formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2005 by guitarist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer.
