The details, in daylight

An outdoor amphitheatre on the banks of the Ohio River in Cincinnati, with a capacity of 20,500 across 6,000 reserved pavilion seats and 14,500 on the lawn. Designed by the architect Michael Graves and built for $9 million on 15 acres donated by the Coney Island amusement park, it opened in 1984 to give the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra an outdoor summer home; its first performance was Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops with Ella Fitzgerald on 4 July 1984. The orchestra still owns it, and it is booked by the orchestra's subsidiary MEMI in partnership with Live Nation. Empire of the Sun is Luke Steele (once of The Sleepy Jackson) and Nick Littlemore (of PNAU), who met in Sydney and in 2008 released Walking on a Dream, the record whose title track became one of the most-played Australian songs of its era.
