An outdoor concert venue in the planned community of Columbia, Maryland, between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Widely acclaimed among America's best amphitheatres, it was named the country's second best by Billboard in 2010, fourth best by Rolling Stone in 2013 and sixth-best outdoor music venue by Fodor's Travel in 2023, cementing its reputation on the summer touring calendar. Empire of the Sun is Luke Steele (once of The Sleepy Jackson) and Nick Littlemore (of PNAU), who met in Sydney and in 2008 released Walking on a Dream, the record whose title track became one of the most-played Australian songs of its era.
