A club-to-small-theater live venue in Houston, converted from a 1920s warehouse and distinctive for its LED chandeliers. It holds three standing-room rooms — the 1,300-capacity Ballroom, the 450-capacity Studio and the 150-capacity Greenroom. Named Houston's 'Best Musical Venue' in 2008, it relocated from East Downtown to Midtown in 2023. Emo Nite is a club night thrown by Morgan Freed and T.J. Petracca, who met working at a creative agency and convinced a bartender at the Short Stop in Echo Park to let them throw a party on a random, rainy Tuesday; double the bar's capacity turned up.
