One room of the Limelight complex on Ormeau Avenue in Belfast, open since 1987. Limelight 1 and 2 sit alongside Katy's Bar and an outdoor terrace called The Rock Garden; the venue has long associations with new bands, homegrown talent and indie, rock and metal club nights. Eagles of Death Metal are the Palm Desert boogie-rock band of Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme, whose swaggering garage grooves power albums like Peace, Love, Death Metal.
