Three rooms under one Midtown Atlanta roof. The building opened in 1966 as Theatre Atlanta, a repertory house built as a memorial to Helen Lee Cartledge, who died in the 1962 Orly air disaster; it became Center Stage in the early eighties and has been mostly a music venue ever since. Eagles of Death Metal are the Palm Desert boogie-rock band of Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme, whose swaggering garage grooves power albums like Peace, Love, Death Metal.
