The RBC Amphitheatre is an outdoor concert venue on the grounds of Ontario Place in Toronto, previously known as Budweiser Stage and originally as the Molson Amphitheatre. It programmes across rock, pop, country and jazz through the summer season. Deep Purple are English hard-rock pioneers formed in 1968; Machine Head and Smoke on the Water helped invent heavy metal, and they remain a relentless touring force.
