The Observatory is a Live Nation concert venue at 3503 S. Harbor Blvd. in Santa Ana, CA. It is three rooms rather than one: the main Observatory room, the smaller Constellation Room, and the open-air Observatory Festival Grounds, and the venue lists each show under the room it plays. Cat Power is Chan Marshall, the Atlanta-born songwriter whose smoky, unguarded records — from Moon Pix to The Greatest and her Dylan '66 concert recreation — made her an indie icon.
