The Bruce Mason Centre is a 1,119-seat theatre in Takapuna on Auckland's North Shore, New Zealand, named after the playwright Bruce Mason. It stages touring music, comedy, dance and opera, and serves as a home for companies including the Auckland Philharmonia and New Zealand Opera. Cat Power is Chan Marshall, the Atlanta-born songwriter whose smoky, unguarded records — from Moon Pix to The Greatest and her Dylan '66 concert recreation — made her an indie icon.
