New York's beloved 575-cap club in a 1929 Lower East Side building, widely considered the sound-and-sightlines gold standard of small rooms — the place bands play on the way up, and again for the love of it. Cardinals are an Irish six-piece from Cork, formed by musicians from nearby Kinsale, whose brooding indie rock folds in shoegaze, post-punk and touches of traditional Irish music.
