Chalk is a live music venue on Pool Valley in central Brighton, England, a short walk from the seafront. Billed as one of the city's leading music venues, it hosts touring and emerging bands alongside regular club nights. Cabaret Voltaire are Sheffield industrial-electronic pioneers whose tape-loop experiments from 1973 onward laid groundwork for techno and EBM; the project continues under founder Richard H. Kirk's legacy.
