A nonprofit theater in New Brunswick, State Theatre New Jersey seats 1,850 and stands among the oldest theaters in the state. Designed by noted cinema and theatre architect Thomas W. Lamb in 1921, it hosts a broad program of concerts and performances in the heart of the city. Buddy Guy is a Louisiana-born Chicago blues titan whose slashing guitar influenced Hendrix and Clapton; an eight-time Grammy winner still touring in his 90s.
