A 1928 theatre in the Keswick Village part of Glenside, a Philadelphia suburb. Horace Trumbauer designed its largely unaltered Tudor Revival exterior, and it opened with 1,366 seats, moving from vaudeville and silent film to CinemaScope by 1955. After closing in 1980 and facing demolition, a community group revived it as a live performance venue, where it stages concerts today. Buddy Guy is a Louisiana-born Chicago blues titan whose slashing guitar influenced Hendrix and Clapton; an eight-time Grammy winner still touring in his 90s.
