A lavish performing-arts palace at 2211 Woodward Avenue in Downtown Detroit, opened in 1928 as a flagship of the Fox Theatres chain and designed by architect C. Howard Crane. With 5,048 seats it is the largest surviving 1920s movie palace, a National Historic Landmark that lends its name to the surrounding Foxtown district and now hosts major concerts and shows. Brand New are an American rock band formed on Long Island, New York in 2000, playing as singer-guitarist Jesse Lacey, lead guitarist Vincent Accardi, bassist Garrett Tierney and drummer Brian Lane.
