Gorilla is a bar, restaurant and live-music venue at 54-56 Whitworth Street West in central Manchester. Its main Stage + Club room is the biggest of three spaces, taking 100 to 550 standing or 200 theatre-style, and carries touring headline shows, comedy and late club nights; The Studio is an entirely private room with its own bar and projector for up to 70 standing, and the Gin Parlour is a mezzanine above the main bar and restaurant stocking more than 50 rare guest gins. Doors open at 11am on weekdays and 10am at weekends, and the kitchen serves until 9pm Monday to Saturday and 8pm on Sunday. Black Pistol Fire are a garage blues-rock duo — guitarist-vocalist Kevin McKeown and drummer Eric Owen — who grew up together in Toronto and are now based in Austin, Texas.
