The concert hall of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the organisation behind the UK's oldest continuing professional symphony orchestra. Alongside the classical programme it takes touring bands, comedians and folk nights, so the room swings between formal and loose depending on the night. Bellowhead were an 11-piece English folk big band whose riotous arrangements of traditional songs, led by Jon Boden and John Spiers, won a record number of BBC Folk Awards.
