Spark Arena is Auckland's main indoor arena, at 42-80 Mahuhu Crescent in Quay Park on the eastern edge of the CBD, a 10-15 minute walk from Britomart station. It opened on 24 March 2007 as Vector Arena, was named Auckland City Arena while it was being built, and took its present name in 2017. It is run by Quay Park Arena Management. Avenged Sevenfold are a Huntington Beach metal band whose theatrical hard rock on City of Evil and the chart-topping Hail to the King made them one of the biggest metal acts of their generation.
