The largest multi-purpose facility in Atlantic Canada, in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, with its main entrances on Brunswick Street at the foot of Citadel Hill. It opened on 17 February 1978 as the Halifax Metro Centre and was built into the ground to compensate for the steep slope of its site, so spectators can see cars at street level outside while watching an event. Owned by the municipality and operated by Events East, it was renamed after Scotiabank won the naming rights in 2014. The Australian Pink Floyd Show, usually shortened to the Australian Pink Floyd, is a Pink Floyd tribute band formed in 1988 in Adelaide, South Australia.
