A West End theatre in St Martin's Lane, in the City of Westminster, seating 640 across three levels. Walter Emden designed it for Frank Wyatt and Violet Melnotte and it opened on 10 September 1892 as the Trafalgar Square Theatre, becoming the Trafalgar Theatre in 1894 and, the year after that, the Duke of York's in honour of the future George V. J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan had its debut here on 27 December 1904. It was Grade II listed in 1960 and bought by ATG Entertainment in 1992; in July 2026 the theatre announced it would be renamed after the playwright Tom Stoppard. Arcadia is a stage play by the English playwright Tom Stoppard, first performed in 1993, which sets past against present, order against disorder and certainty against uncertainty.
