An amphitheatre in Raleigh, North Carolina, adjacent to the Raleigh Convention Center, formerly the Raleigh Amphitheater. Owned and operated by the City of Raleigh, it books acts through an agreement with Live Nation across a season running April through October. Capacity is 5,990, combining 1,800 fixed seats, 2,700 movable seats and lawn space for 1,000. Red Hat secured its naming rights in a 2012 deal. Amyl and the Sniffers are a Melbourne pub-punk band fronted by the ferocious Amy Taylor; Comfort to Me and Cartoon Darkness took their sweat-soaked live show to the world.
