Newcastle's 1927 neo-classical concert hall, where Led Zeppelin, Bowie and Queen played on the way up — restored as the city's premier theatre-scale venue. Alkaline Trio are a Chicago punk band formed in 1996 around Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano, whose dark, melodic punk on Goddamnit and From Here to Infirmary built a devoted following.
