The building goes back to the early 1900s as a nickelodeon and spent the 1960s as a regional theatre led by Andre Gregory; the venue in its present form opened in 1988. It is known for its acoustics. ADÉLA is a Slovak pop singer-songwriter, born Adéla Jergová in Bratislava in 2003.
