A 1928 movie palace at Flatbush and DeKalb that put on jazz, blues and early rock and roll, closed in 1962, and spent the next six decades as Long Island University's basketball court. Restoration began in 2017 and it reopened as a venue in 2024. Adam Lambert is an American pop-rock vocalist who broke out on American Idol in 2009 and has fronted Queen + Adam Lambert on world tours since 2011.
