William Black

William Black is an American electronic producer, an Orange County native who trained at Los Angeles' Icon Collective before emerging in the late 2010s. He started out making aggressive dubstep for labels such as Dim Mak, then evolved toward a richer, more emotional melodic bass sound, pairing big progressive beats with lyrical themes of love, addiction and mental health. He released his debut album Pages in 2019 and its follow-up Pieces in 2021, and his 2020 collaboration with Slander, 'Back to U', became a signature hit; he also debuted on Monstercat that year with a remix of Slander and Said the Sky's 'Potions'. Known for uplifting, cathartic dancefloor moments, Black has built a live reputation on the festival and club circuit as a leading melodic bass act.
