Wicus van der Merwe (full name Willem Jacobus van der Merwe; born 17 July 1972 in Clanwilliam) is a South African Afrikaans singer, comedian and entertainer known for light-hearted, humorous songs such as 'Spietkop', 'Hie' Komme Ding' and 'Vat Hom Pappie'. He has released around six studio albums and two DVDs since the early 2000s, several certified gold, and has worked in television — hosting Opskop on kykNET and co-hosting Jou Show with Emo Adams. He is the son of the late comedian and storyteller Tolla van der Merwe.
