When Chai Met Toast are a multilingual indie-folk band formed in Kochi, Kerala in 2016 — vocalist Ashwin Gopakumar, guitarist Achyuth Jaigopal, keyboardist Palee Francis and drummer Pai Sailesh. They are known for happy, lighthearted songs written in English and Hindi, sometimes with Tamil and Malayalam lyrics. Two EPs in, they were picked up by Spotify's RADAR programme, and the video for "Break Free" was named one of VH1 India's top 50. They wrote the tracks for Kenny Sebastian's web series Die Trying, and play Bacardi NH7 Weekender and SulaFest at home.
