Westlife are an Irish pop group formed in Sligo in 1998, first under the names 6as1 and I.O.YOU with several other members. The line-up settled as Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily after Brian McFadden left for a solo career in March 2004. They disbanded in 2012 and reunited in 2018. Twelve studio albums — four as a five-piece, eight as a four-piece — have brought 11 number-one albums and 16 number-one singles in Ireland and the United Kingdom, sales of more than 55 million records and four Guinness World Records. The group currently works as a trio while Feehily takes an extended break for health reasons.
