Ward Thomas are twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy, born two minutes apart and raised on a farm in rural Hampshire, and they have been called Britain's first country stars. The debut, From Where We Stand, topped the UK Country Chart in 2014 and won Album of the Year at the British Country Music Awards. Cartwheels went further: the first album by a UK country act to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart, since gone gold. They opened Country to Country in 2017, having played the main stage at Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park two years earlier.
