Verb T

Verb T is a London hip-hop artist, born Thomas Conning, who has been rapping since 1999. A prolific figure in UK underground rap, he has released around ten albums and six EPs across his career, much of it on the independent High Focus Records. In 2011 he co-founded the group The Four Owls alongside Fliptrix, Leaf Dog and BVA MC; the quartet's 2015 record The Natural Order featured production from American legend DJ Premier. Verb T has also worked repeatedly with producers such as Illinformed and Pitch 92, building a reputation for wry, introspective writing over dusty, soulful beats. On stage he remains a fixture of the British scene, performing solo and as part of the Owls at clubs and festivals across the UK.
