Van Pletzen

Van Pletzen is a South African Afrikaans electronic-pop duo formed in 2017 and based in Pretoria, known for its satirical lyrics and comedic music videos. The group consists of Peach van Pletzen (also of Bittereinder) and Matthieu 'Makkie' Auriacombe. Their sound blends electronic beats, pop and rap, often mixing Afrikaans, English and Zulu. They have released the studio albums Kak Lekke Vibe (2018), Love & Legeheid (2020), Enter the Grootness (2023) and Om Lig Te Maak (2025). Notable singles include 'Goud', 'Beurtkrag' (featuring Bouwer Bosch) and 'Jy Bly Stil' (with Jack Parow). They have performed at festivals such as Oppikoppi.
