Tyler Childers is an American country singer-songwriter from Lawrence County, Kentucky, born in 1991. His music draws on neotraditional country, bluegrass, folk and honky-tonk, rooted in Appalachian storytelling. His 2017 breakthrough Purgatory earned wide acclaim, and later records including Country Squire (2019) and Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven? (2022) broadened his reach, the latter becoming his first top-ten Billboard 200 album. Songs such as "All Your'n" and "In Your Love" have become signatures, and he has collected several Grammy nominations along with a 2018 Americana Music Award for Emerging Artist. Performing with his band the Food Stamps, Childers has earned a fervent following for raw, emotionally charged live shows.
