About
The Truffle Valley Boys are an Italian bluegrass band founded in 2014 by Matt Ringressi and roots-music veteran Ruben Minuto, devoted to reviving the raw sound of 1950s bluegrass. Drawing on obscure groups from the genre's formative years, they perform in the traditional way, gathered around a single microphone with period instrumentation. The lineup features Ringressi on mandolin, guitar, fiddle and vocals alongside banjo, resonator guitar and upright bass. Since 2019 the band has been recognised in a permanent exhibit on international bluegrass at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Owensboro, Kentucky. They have become fixtures of the European bluegrass, country and rockabilly circuit, touring thousands of miles a year and known live for their fiery drive and authentic, uncompromising stage presentation.
