Trivium are an American heavy metal band from Orlando, Florida, formed in 1999. The creative core is long-standing — vocalist and guitarist Matt Heafy from the start, guitarist Corey Beaulieu from 2003 and bassist Paolo Gregoletto from 2004 — while the drum stool has turned over many times, most recently to Alex Rüdinger in October 2025. Ember to Inferno was their only album for Lifeforce Records; they signed to Roadrunner Records in 2004 and have stayed there across ten studio albums, of which In the Court of the Dragon is the most recent. They have sold over a million albums worldwide and were nominated for a Grammy for "Betrayer" in 2019.
