Treaty Oak Revival formed as a cover band in Odessa, Texas in 2018 — singer Sam Canty, guitarists Lance and Jeremiah Vanley (nephew and uncle), bassist Andrew Carey and drummer Cody Holloway. They are named after the Treaty Oak in Austin, supposedly the last of a grove of 14 oaks considered a sacred meeting place by the Comanche and Tonkawa. Their debut single and debut album shared the title No Vacancy. Have a Nice Day debuted at number 174 on the Billboard 200 in November 2023 and contained "Missed Call", which went gold and then platinum. They played the Grand Ole Opry in February 2024 and toured with Koe Wetzel; "Bad State of Mind" reached number 1 on Billboard's Bubbling Under chart in 2025.
