About
The Skints are a four-piece reggae band from east London, formed by school friends in 2005 and settled in their current line-up — Jamie Kyriakides, Joshua Waters Rudge, Jonathan Doyle and Marcia Richards — in May 2007. They describe their own sound as "music from Jamaica in a London style", mixing reggae, ska and dub with grime and hip-hop, and Clash Music called them "the torchbearers for modern British reggae music". They tour extensively across the UK, Europe and the United States, and their fourth album, Swimming Lessons, debuted at number 1 on the Billboard reggae chart in 2019. In July 2026 the band released "Home", the first single from a coming album, SOUR TOOTH.
