The Mission are an English gothic rock band formed in 1986, and known in the United States as the Mission UK. Wayne Hussey and the bassist Craig Adams started them after leaving the Sisters of Mercy, first under the name the Sisterhood, and were soon joined by the drummer Mick Brown, of Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, and the guitarist Simon Hinkler, of Artery and Pulp. Aside from Hussey the line-up has changed several times and the band has twice been on hiatus. Ten studio albums run from God's Own Medicine in 1986 through Carved in Sand and Neverland to Another Fall from Grace in 2016.
