The Isley Brothers

The Isley Brothers are an American vocal group that began in 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a trio of brothers O'Kelly, Rudolph and Ronald Isley. Across seven decades they moved through rock and roll, soul and funk, recording enduring songs including the frenzied "Shout," a 1962 take on "Twist and Shout," the Grammy-winning "It's Your Thing," and the smouldering "That Lady" and "Between the Sheets." They hold the rare distinction of charting hits from the 1950s into the 2000s, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 before receiving a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.
