The Gabe Dixon Band were an American rock group built around pianist and singer Gabe Dixon, born in 1977 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, who formed the four-piece in 1998 while studying at the University of Miami. Their piano-driven songwriting drew comparisons to Billy Joel and Elton John. After an independent debut, they signed to Reprise for 2002's On a Rolling Ball and released a self-titled album in 2008. The band gained wider exposure through screen placements, notably "Find My Way" opening the 2009 film The Proposal, while Dixon also recorded with Paul McCartney on his 2001 album Driving Rain. The group disbanded in 2010.
