The Fratellis are a Scottish indie rock band formed in Glasgow in 2005, made up of Jon Fratelli (John Lawler) on vocals and guitar, Baz Fratelli (Barry Wallace) on bass and Mince Fratelli (Gordon McRory) on drums, their surnames borrowed from the villains in The Goonies. Their debut Costello Music (2006) reached number two in the UK and spawned the ubiquitous 'Chelsea Dagger' and 'Whistle for the Choir,' both UK top-ten hits. They won the 2007 BRIT Award for Best British Breakthrough Act. Later albums include Here We Stand, We Need Medicine and Half Drunk Under a Full Moon. Festival favourites at Glastonbury and T in the Park who once supported The Police on their reunion tour, they trade live on rowdy, singalong indie anthems.
