About

The Empty Pockets are a rock and roll band from Chicago: Josh Solomon on guitar and lead vocals, Nate Bellon on bass and lead vocals, Adam Balasco on drums and Erika Brett on keyboard and lead vocals. Solomon grew up in Lincolnwood playing with childhood friends Bellon and Danny Rosenthal, and shortly after the band formed in 2006 he was cast as Buddy Holly in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story at Chicago's Mercury Theatre, with Bellon and Rosenthal as The Crickets. They met Brett, a singer and dancer in that show, during the run, and changed the name from Josh & The Empty Pockets when she joined. Their debut of ten originals, Under the Bed, followed in 2008.
