About
The Bohème Hot Club are a London-based vintage-style jazz band playing uplifting Gypsy Jazz from the Django Reinhardt era of the 1930s and 40s, blending swing classics with European and Great American Songbook favourites. The idea began with the photograph of Edith Piaf reading Django Reinhardt's palm in Paris, circa 1947. The line-up is Alisa Lands on vocals, Nathan Mansfield on violin and trumpet, David Ahmed and Richard Bawcombe on guitars and Paul Malloy on double bass, and the repertoire runs to European classics in French, Spanish, Italian and Russian. The members have between them performed at leading venues including Quecumbar, Brasserie Zedel's, Crazy Coqs, The Pheasantry and the Royal Air Force Museum.
